community-owned facilities especially those intended for early childhood education are given relatively low priority in the budget of rural government.
early childhood development facilities are very limited in these rural areas as more emphasis is placed in building village infrastructures.
access to early childhood education in rural villages are important to ensure that children cognitive and learning abilities are developed early as this offers them increased access to social and economic opportunities.
the emotional, social and physical development of young children has a direct effect on their overall development and on the adult they will become.
therefore understanding the need to invest in young children is so important, so as to maximize their future well-being.
